Exterior Log Home Wood finish is a 100% oil/resin based with special performance boosters to provide additional protection against the elements. Shields the wood against harmful UV rays. UV blocking transparent iron oxide pigments give WeatherSeal its translucent beauty while maintaining the natural wood look for a longer period of time.

In addition to log homes, WeatherSeal is designed to beautify and protect: decks, fences, outdoor play sets, natural wood siding, shake siding, outdoor furniture, and pressure-treated wood. Comes in 12 colors.

Coverage Rate:

1st coat 150 sq. ft./gal (Rough Wood)

Usage: Exterior

We recommend to drill mix the stain with a paddle mixer and brush the stain however if necessary, it can be thinned with mineral spirits.  1/2 pint mineral spirits to 1 gallon of Weatherseal Stain.  If you choose to spray, use a heavy-duty airless sprayer using 0.15 -0.17 tips. 

A 3/4" knit polyester/wool blend roller is recommended for rough-sawn surfaces, and T1-11 etc.

Note:  Use CPR log cleaner and brightener to clean the logs.   Other products you might want to consider is our Armor-Guard prior to staining (has to be used on bare wood only) this is a borate powder.  For application use our (#F5116) 4 3/4" Wooster Bravo Stainer paint brush or (#F-5119) 4 Inch Wooster Oil Stain paint brush for excellent results with all exterior or interior oil based stains. Also you might want to add Bug Juice, an added insecticide for crawling insects, 


NO mildewcides should be added to this stain. 

This product contains fungicides. 


Per the manufacturer, Weatherseal can be diluted or thinned if needed.  Add up to 8 oz. Or 1/2 Pint of mineral spirits per gallon of stain when needed.
